Rumple

This is my first real painting on my tablet. It was a super bitch. Fucking Photoshop shitted out on me halfway through the first one. The painting itself is kinda a one liner but there’s an idea behind it. I was thinking the other night about what was going through Rumple’s head when the curse took effect. He’s a person who defines himself by how much power(magic) he has, he needs that power to get his son back. The idea that he would transported to a land without magic must have been terrifying. But 28 years as an ordinary man, ignorant and unaware of his past mistakes must have sounded good. I think some part of him welcomed the memory loss. Habitually making shitty decisions tends to weigh a person down. Also, this is supposed to be him being stripped of his magic and becoming Mr.Gold. Also, also, Robert Carlyle what is your face, sir?
